A
decade of panic disorder
and major depression motivated
Rob Jackson
’s personal search for wholeness. During his
junior year in college, he added psychology as a double major.
Now, with twenty years of professional experience, Rob shares
his personal and professional understanding of intimacy
disorder. His therapeutic model, known as “The IcebergTM”,
is drawn from personal experience and continues to gain
acceptance.
Rob has provided professional counseling through his
private practice since 1991. He offers workshops, seminars,
and intensives for individuals, couples, and families. Having
earned a master of science in clinical psychology in 1986, he
is a Licensed Professional Counselor in
Colorado
and
Mississippi
and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in
Washington
. Rob is a National Board Certified Counselor and a
member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Rob is a frequent guest on Christian radio broadcasts,
and speaks regularly at conferences and churches.
Rob is a member of the National Pro-Family
Organization. Representatives from more than 20 national
organizations gather quarterly for advancing a family-friendly
agenda throughout the nation. He and his colleagues speak
annually at the Impact America Conference founded by this
organization. As the only mental health professional in this
organization, he regularly shares his therapeutic model for
personal growth and recovery.
In 2003, Focus on the Family contracted Rob to author
several articles for their www.pureintimacy.org
website. He continues to expand his
website, ChristianCounsel.com, with a variety of online
resources.
As an educator, Rob has served as an adjunct professor
for a seminary, an instructor for a university, and an
instructor for a high school. He is a licensed and ordained
minister and deacon.
Married in 1987, Rob and his wife, Renee, view ministry
as a grateful response to God’s grace to them. The Jacksons
and their two children live in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and are members of Woodmen Valley
Chapel.
